Molesworth
Quiet acreage in the Derwent Valley
Overview
Molesworth is a rural locality in the Derwent Valley, roughly 30 kilometres north-west of Hobart and a short drive from New Norfolk. It runs along the Molesworth Creek valley between Collinsvale and the Derwent River, and is made up almost entirely of acreage — small farms, hobby blocks and bush holdings rather than a township.
Lifestyle
Life at Molesworth is quiet and self-sufficient: sheds, paddocks, wood heat and long views. Groceries, schools and services are in New Norfolk, about 15 minutes away, and central Hobart is roughly 35 to 40 minutes via the Lyell Highway. Mount Wellington's western flank and the Collinsvale walking tracks are close at hand.
